Clark Kellogg is a CBS college basketball commentator whose analysis is presented
in an enthusiastic and insightful style. Clark joined CBS Sports full time in
1997 after having served as a studio and game analyst for ESPN from 1990-1997.
He has worked the last 11 years (1993-2003) as an analyst for CBS' coverage of
the NCAA tournament.
Kellogg, who starred for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA, provides the "players perspective" during each telecast. His knowledge and experience of playing on the court is brought forth in an informative and enthusiastic style. His attempt to make the game fun for the fan, while providing information which will educate the viewer, is his goal each telecast. A standout basketball player at Ohio State (1979-1982), Kellogg led the Buckeyes in both scoring and rebounding as a sophomore and junior. He earned All-Big Ten and Most Valuable Player honors in 1982, when he averaged 16.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Following his junior year, he entered the NBA draft and was the number one pick of the Indiana Pacers. He played for five seasons before retiring with chronic knee problems. Kellogg began his broadcasting career as an analyst for the Pacers' radio broadcasts and has served as their television analyst for the past 12 seasons. He has also worked for the Big East Network and Prime Sports. Sean McManus, President of CBS Sports, calls Clark one of college basketball's elite commentators and, together with Greg Gumbel, he is part of the best basketball studio team in the business. |
